Saving energy while getting your sweat on may seem like a bit of a physical paradox, but it’s actually much easier than you would think thanks to the recent partnership formed between the SouthCoast Energy Challenge and YMCA Southcoast.
The partnership kicked off its inception this past weekend with events on Friday and Saturday held at the New Bedford, and Gleason Family (Wareham) YMCAs respectively.
Through the partnership, YMCA Southcoast, which encompasses YMCA facilities in New Bedford, Fall River, Mattapoisett, Wareham, Dartmouth, and Rochester, will help to promote the SouthCoast Energy Challenge’s initiatives, including the promotion of No-Cost Home Energy Assessments. In exchange for promoting Energy Challenge initiatives, YMCA Southcoast will receive a donation of $10 from Next Step Living, a business partner of the Energy Challenge, to help fund YMCA programs.
The partnership formed as the result of a mutual interest shared by the SouthCoast Energy Challenge and YMCA Southcoast to better serve residents of South Coast Massachusetts while helping to support local organizations and initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of living for southcoasters.
