Responsible Recycling Tomorrow 4/21- in Westport and Attleboro, MA

Thinking of doing some spring cleaning? Or maybe you have, and your pile of “how do I dispose of this?” items is just sitting there patient and questioningly.  If you live in the area, tomorrow is your lucky day!

The Westport River Watershed Alliance is having their 6th annual electronics recycling day, from 10am until 1pm behind the Westport Town Hall, 816 Main Road. Bring down your old batteries, fluorescent lightbulbs, TVs, computer monitors, microwaves and more. They will recycle what they can of the mercury, lead, plastics, wiring and other toxic materials, and properly dispose of the rest. Click here for a list of the discounted recycling prices they’re offering.

If Westport is too far south for you, Attleboro is hosting their own recycling event tomorrow as well- 9am until 12pm at the Attleboro Recycling Center at 29 Pond St. North. Attleboro IS NOT COLLECTING ELECTRONICS, but instead recycling styrofoam, shredding paper and offering a few other things. If you’ve been thinking about buying a rain barrel, get one here at a discount, or watch a composting demonstration. Bring your used clothing to be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters, too! Look here for a complete event list including prices.
