The No Impact Project

In 2007, Colin Beavan and his family spent a year living a zero impact lifestyle. This meant they generated no waste, bought nothing but food, shut off their electricity, and only traveled by bike or foot. To document this experiment Beaven set up a blog, and eventually wrote a book. This book was widely successful, and lead to the development of a film. The film was also successful and led to the creation of the No Impact Project.

The No Impact Project is a non-profit organization with the goal of helping people make the changes necessary to live a low impact lifestyle. Their website is a great resource if you’re looking to get educated about how to live an environmentally friendly life.

Check out the No Impact project here or see where it all started at the No Impact Man Blog.
