SO, what’s the deal with energy efficient light bulbs?

Also known as Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs (CLF’s), energy efficient light bulbs can help save you a TON of energy. Here are some fun facts for why you should make the switch, how to do the twist, and what to do once you have!

According to the experts at Energy Star, if every home in the U.S. replaced just one light with a light that’s earned the ENERGY STAR, we would save enough energy to light 3 million homes for a year! That’s a lot of change by simply replacing ONE LIGHT BULB with a CLF…and a great, easy way to bring the energy challenge into you’re your own home!

How to choose the right light bulb?

Check out Energy Star’s “Choose a light guide”, it’s quick and easy! Just follow this link:

How to dispose of them!
The best way to dispose of your light bulbs is to use your city or towns recycling program.  Visit http://www.epa.gov/cfl/cflrecycling.html to get information on your local recycling program.
